 DAF DISCUSSIONS - ZEVACHIM 98
1. Mitchell Morgenstern asks:

4. If a Korban becomes Pigul, the Nesachim become Pigul as well. (Revach L'Daf)

If the Korban itself is Pigul, what Nesachim is there to bring. There is no Korban. I must assume that when you brought your Korban to the Bais Hamigdash, you brought a bottle of Manischewitz wine for the Neasachim and sanctified it.

If one drinks the Nesachim, your sheet says that he gets Karas seemingly because of Pigul. Even without Pigul, one cannot drink Nesachim. Is the answer that drinking Neaschim that is not Pigul is a prohibition of consuming Kodesh, a Lav only (I guess similar to a non Kohen eating a Chatas) and drinking Nesachim that is Pigul is Karas.

2. The Kollel replies:

Shalom Mitchell,

I would agree to your two main points: (1) the Nesachim were sanctified and would have been fit to be offered on the Mizbe'ach, but they now become Pigul as a result of the Korban becoming Pigul; and (2) the new elevated level of punishment for consuming wine that is Pigul is indeed Kares, unlike beforehand where consuming it would have merely been an Aveirah of Me'ilah, the punishment for which is lashes (if Meizid) and payment.

May you continue to attain greatness in Torah and Yir'as Shamayim!

Bi'Verachah,
