The Gemara speaks about arei miklat that if a person kills someone unintentionally he has to run away to arei miklat. So my question is what happens if someone actually lives in the arei miklat and he killed someone unintentionally will he have to go to a different arei miklat or can he just stay put in the arei miklat where he is now?

The Mishnah on 12b deals with your question. The Tana rules that someone who killed b'Shogeg and who was exiled and who killed in his own Ir Miklat must run to another district in the same city (since he is not permitted to leave the Ir Miklat), whereas if a Levi who lives in that city kills b'Shogeg, he is obligated to run to another Ir Miklat.
Wishing you and yours a G'mar Chasimah Tovah,
