DAF DISCUSSIONS - ZEVACHIM 67
1. Meir Eliezer Bergman asks:

Hello,

In discussing whether an Olas Ha'of brought lMata becomes a Chatas, the Gemoro at the top of 67b brings a mishna in Kinim with 3 cases regarding two ladies.

The Gemoro attempts to bring a proof from the 3rd case, but I wonder why there is not a simpler proof from the 2nd case?!

The second case says that if the kohen brought the Olas Ha'of below, it is posul - is this not a proof that it has not become a Chatas?!

The Gemara understood that when the Mishnah stated in the second case that if the Kohen brought the Olas ha'Of below it is Pasul, this means it is totally Pasul and is not a Kosher Chatas. One sees this way of thinking from the third case also, where it is stated that they are both Pasul. The Gemara asks why are they both Pasul? Why do we not say that the one brought below became a Chatas? One sees at any rate that when the Mishnah says Pasul this means that it is totally Pasul and does not mean that it is an Olah that became a Kosher Chatas.
