After the Mishna on Ketuvot 13a the gemara says, regarding Rabbi Yohanan: Savar La k'Rabbi Meir, and regarding Rabbi Elazar: Savar La k'Rabanan. Clearly the words Savar La' regarding Rabbi Elazar refer to his own opinion; Rashi interprets the words 'Savar La' regarding Rabbi Yohanan as regarding the Tana of our Mishnah!
Rashi explains that one must say so because Rabbi Yohanan would not accept the position of Rabbi Meir against that of 'Rabanan'.
Question:
Who are 'Rabanan'? Both Rabban Gamliel and Rabbi Eliezer seem to accept the position of the woman, as does Rabbi Meir? And If 'Rabanan' is Rabbi Yehoshua - we still have a very prestigious majority against his opinion
The Machlokes between Rebbi Meir and the Rabanan (which is on Daf 11a) has nothing to do with the Machlokes between Raban Gamliel and Rebbi Yehoshua in our Mishnah; both Raban Gamliel and Rebbi Yehoshua may hold like either one of the two.
The Machlokes between Rebbi Meir and Rabanan is where there was clearly a mistake (i.e. even the woman admits that she was a Be'ulah at the time of Kidushin, and she fooled him). Their argument involves the degree of the Mekach Ta'us; is it considered a total Mekiach Ta'us, or is the Kidushin valid, and the Ta'us is only the amount which the Kesuvah should have been (one hundred instead of two hudnred).
