I always have a hard time remembering measurements, specifically a seah- which you guys have as the volume of 432 eggs I think. Is there an easier way to remember this term or other measurements?
Thanks

Dear Elie,
There is an easy way of remembering this, as noted by MAHARAM SHIF at end of Maseches Chulin p. 13 in DERUSHIM NECHMADIM DH BE-CHESHBON.
The "code" is GUDU ILANA (Cut down the tree). GUDU is 3-6-4-6. That is G stands for GIMMEL which is 3 and U is VAV which is the numerical value of 6 and D is for DALET which is 4. There are 3 seah in an aifa and there are 6 Kav in a Seah. There are 4 Lug in a Kav and there are 6 eggs in a Lug. 3 times 6 times 4 times 6 equals 432, so there are 432 eggs in an aifa and 144 eggs in a Seah (not 432 eggs in a Seah as you wrote).
