The Aramaic quotes from Ben Sira which appear to be the rationale for the banishing of the Book of Ben Sira, don't appear in the actual book of Ben Sira, in any editions. It is also strange that these are the only quotes in Aramaic, while the rest is brought in the original Hebrew. Is there any information where these quotes/proverbs actually come from? (Zal d'kan - kurteman etc). If one actually reads the book of Ben Sira, it seems to fall in the category of divrei d'maalta. Why did the chazal attribute these sayings to Ben Sira?
