DAF DISCUSSIONS - ZEVACHIM 92

Barry Epstein asked:

The law of laundering applies only if the garment is stained by blood that is legally fit for sprinkling (Rashi). If garment is stained by invalid blood would the Kohen wear the sullied garment for the next avodah? How long could he wear it before washing it?

Barry Epstein, Dallas, USA

The Kollel replies:

The law of laundering relates to the blood, not to the garment. The laws of blood require that it be removed from the garment if it was fit for Zerikah. This also relates only to a Korban Chatas. As far as the garment is concerned, the Kohen must always have clean garments.
