If he gave everything he owns away leaving nothing for himself he's a legitimate shechiv meirah....gets back anything that was taken.
If he left over things for himself then the Matanah is not from a Shchiv Merah.
What are the circumstances of the Braisah that dictate otherwise?

Dear Avraham,
A healthy person that gives everything away is not a Shechiv Meira and cannot get his gift back. So we have to know his health status when he make's the gift in order to allow him to back down when he gets well.
