 DAF DISCUSSIONS - SANHEDRIN 71
1. Morris Massel asks:

I was learning Sanhedrin 71b on shabbos just before the Mishnah. The Gemara has learned previously that the parents cannot be blind from the word "Zeh". Here, the Gemara concludes that we learn that the three dayanim from earlier must be on the court of 23 AND that the parents cannot be blind from "Zeh". The conclusion is that the passuk could have said "HaHu" and that's why we learn both concepts here.

I had thought, perhaps incorrectly, that we can only learn a single concept from an extra word of letter. Here seemingly we are learning two. From a cursory review, I didn't find any discussion of my point. Am I wrong or missing something?

Thank you.

2. The Kollel replies:

In fact, the Gemara in Sanhedrin 34a tells us that from one verse one can learn out a few concepts, but the same concept cannot be learned from more than one verse.
