The Ketzos ha'Choshen (34:4) and the Sha'ar ha'Melech (Ishus 9:15) cite a Machlokes Achronim if "Shavyei a'Nafshei" is a new Isur similar to a Neder, or if we say that as much as it relates to himself he is actually believed with regard to the Isur that he states applies to him, in which case he transgresses whichever specific Lav it may be.
