I've got another question about the silver and the gold shovel. They took it into the Kodesh Kadashim. So if they used a gold shovel on Yom Kippur why don't we say Ain Ketaiger Naasis Senaigor(a prosecutor doesn't become a defence)? It reminds Hash-m of the Egel Hazahav.
The Gemara in Rosh Hashanah 26a asks your question. It answers that "Ein Kateigor . . ." only applies to clothes, which adorn the Kohen, not to items the Kohen Gadol is holding.
