The Maharich was HaRav Yisrael Chaim Friedman. Likutei Maharich is his collection of explanations, with laws and customs, about the Tefilos for times of the year. It is considered the authoritative work in this area and is relied upon by most major Chassidic groups. It was first published in 5660 (1900) by a publisher in Segat-Satmar. He certainly was a Chassid, but I do not know who he teacher was.
