DAF DISCUSSIONS - SUKAH 36

Yosef Mackler asked:

dear kollel hadaf:

please help! in the icah d'amrei, how do we understand that an esrog bitten by a mouse is hadar, based on rav hanina's practice of eating some of the esrog (thereby creating haser)

in appreciation, yosef

yosef , yerushalayim

The Kollel replies:

Hadar is a problem on all of the days of Sukos. Therefore, if Rav Chanina used the bitten Esrog it must still be considered Hadar even though it is Chaser (and Pasul for the first day).
