Can we learn from the issur on reciting half psukim something I once heard in the name of a Chassidishe Rebbe, "Mir zogt nisht a halbe pasuk," that is to say, one, in one's own daily conversations should not recite just half a pasuk but should always say the whole pasuk?

The Chayei Adam (Klal 5, #2) says that one is permitted to say half a Pasuk - even if that half contains the Shem ha'Shem - unless it is Derech Keri'ah. Therefore, Pesukim that we quote in our speech or that we include in our writing don't have to be quoted in full. It also means that Pasukim that are included in the Seder ha'Tefilah don't have to be quoted in full. For example, at Hagba'ah the Tzibur says "Al Pi ha'Shem b'Yad Moshe" which is not a full Pasuk. According to the Chayei Adam, it even means that if one makes a mistake in the Neginah or Ta'amim of a Pasuk during Keri'as ha'Torah, one can repeat part of the Pasuk because it is only being done to complete a Pasuk that was already read in full (as opposed to making a mistake in the the words of the Pasuk).

In that case, what does one do, when in saying Psukei DZimrah, skips a word of a pasuk OR sentence and says haShem, should he say Baruch Kvod?
I would not say Baruch Shem Kevod because maybe it is not necessary in which case it would be a Hefsek in Pesukei d'Zimra. In fact, it probably is not necessary because reciting the Pesukim of Pesukei d'Zimra is not what the Chayei Adam refers to as "Derech Keri'ah" rather it is Derech Tefilah and Bakashah, where saying half a Pasuk is not a problem. Even in Keri'as ha'Torah which is "Derech Keri'ah", if a person were to make a mistake in a Pasuk that had Hash-m's name I don't think he would say Baruch Shem Kevod. Baruch Shem Kevod seems to be reserved for making a Berachah l'Vatalah or a Berachah she'Einah Tzerichah. Therefore I would simply repeat the Pasuk with the proper wording.
