It your post with the above title you quote a Chasam Sofer in Gitin 20 that explains Chanuka's omission from the mishna based on a Rambam in Menachos. I could not find the Chasam Sofer in Gittin 20, could you perhaps tell me the dibur hamaschil. Also do you know of a source to the "midrash" associating the Dudaim of Reuven to neiros Chanuka?

The Chasam Sofer is in Gitin 78a, DH "Kansi." I do not know of a source in the Medrash linking Chanukah and the Duda'im.
