DAF DISCUSSIONS - BERACHOS 10

Yehoash Orange asks:

why is it cosidered such a great thing that a woman can see the greatnessof people because she sees if he had keri and if there are flies near him. cant a man see those things?

Yehoash Orange, Brooklyn, NY

The Kollel replies:

The Gemara is not saying that a woman is greater than a man. Rather, as the Maharsha explains, it is saying that a woman is more likely to notice the nature of her guests as she is home more (and probably taking care of his table and bed), and therefore is more likely to observe these things about her guests.

All the best,

Yaakov Montrose
