i have a problem in undersdstanding the reb elazer genmorah How could he blind a talmid?
the marsha says he spokw in front of him. i know he was upset also that theu thought the halacha was learned just then and reb elazer wasnt there so they thought he missed it. but anyway he asked for a chidush and why did he pray for his vision to get better if he blinded him
and why did reb elazer react so qucik is that how chinuch is suposed to be please let me know thanx

The Gemara in Nedarim 7b tells of an Amora who saw someone doing something wrong. He put the person in Cherem, and immediately removed the Cherem then and there. The Cherem was only meant to threaten the person, so that he should realize the severity of his act and refrain in the future (RAN, in the name of TOSFOS; there are similar Sugyos in Moed Katan 16a-17a).
Perhaps Rebbi Elazar planned on praying for the return of the talmid's eyesight immediately. He only punished him momentarily in order to show him the severity of his act (i.e., that he had spoken out in "Chutzpah" to his Rebbi). It does seem to be proper Chinuch to show a Talmid that is speaking with Chutzpah that he was acting inappropriately (even showing him in a forceful manner -- See Hagadah Shel Pesach, "Hakheh Es Shinav...").

(a) Just to add that we find that Rabi E. was very Makpid on Moreh Halacha Bifnei Raboi, see Eiruvin 63a.
(b) As to the Maharsha who asks on Rashi that Bpashtus the reason was due to Moreh Halacha, see Pirush RaSh on Yodayim 4:3. who discusses our Girsoh vs. the Girsoh in the Toseftoh Yodayim 2:7 (that he did say "Talmidech Onu"). Perhaps (Al Pi Drush) Rashi is explaining here the reason for "Kabeil Einecho" as the Chachomim are "Einei Hoeidoh" when not applied right then "Kabeil Einecho" is Midoh Kneged Midah (as we find he told Rabi Akiva (Psachim 69a) Bshcita Hishavtoni Bshchita Thei..).

(a) Very nice point. We find, in fact, that Rebbi Eliezer himself was very careful not to say Chidushim he did not hear from his own mentors (Sukah 27b).

Thanks for the additional pointer, the reason I didn't add this point is that there is much discussion as what this includes and why Takeh, another point I didn't add was that his Hakpada could have been because he adopted Shitas Beis Shamai, but this too is big discusion, so I left it out.
