Why is it written Mevo'acha, and we pronounce it Mova'echa?

1.

Radak: It is written properly for a verb in which the middle letter of root (the Vov in Bo) is not pronounced. It is pronounced for parallel structure to Motza'acha just before this. Vowels change like this often - "Horu v'Hogu" (Yeshayah 59:13), "Tehomos Yechasyumu" (Shemos 15:5). In Mova'echa, the first two letters of the root switch places. We find like this - "Im Yashov Yeshiveni" (15:8), "Rivah Hashem Es Yerivai" (Tehilim 35:1).

What did he say was Avner's intent?

1.

Malbim: He came for one of three reasons. (a) To entice you [to go to him, and fall in his trap]. (b) To know your going and coming [to be able to ambush you]. (c) If he does not succeed in these, at least to know what you are doing. One wants to know what his enemy in war is doing!
