What is the meaning of "Al Tariv Im Adam"?

1.

Rashi: Do not complain about him.

2)

What do we learn from "Im Lo Gamalcha Ra'ah"?

1.

Rashi: He transgressed "v'Ahavta l'Re'echa Kamocha" (Vayikra 19:18). One may hate a Rasha!

2.

R. Yonah: This explains "Chinam" - he did not harm you; he only spoke about you - "Gam l'Kol ha'Devarim Asher Yedaberu Al Titen Libecha" (Koheles 7:21). Quarrel is a lowly Midah, therefore do not quarrel with someone unless he did to you damage and loss.

3.

Malbim: Gemul is excitement of the Nefesh to anger. If he did evil to you not amidst Gemul, you must pardon him. Also, bodily powers should not make war and quarrel with powers of the Nefesh. Even though it seems to [the body] that powers of the Nefesh will harm it - they will stop it from pursuing worldly desires and pleasures - this is not due to hatred. Just the contrary, it is due to its love for and compassion on the body!
