Why does it say "[v'Hadarcha] Al Beneihem"?

Radak: The fathers and sons should see the salvation. In every generation, the fathers supplicate that the salvation that will be in the days of their sons, it should come close in their days, and the fathers and sons will see it together.

Malbim: Through seeing how Hashem acts in His world, the sons will fathom Hashem's glory, honor and Hashgachah, and understand the purpose for which we were created.
3.
Malbim (17): Moshe asked that Hashem's glory be seen on his sons, that they will inherit his position after him.
