Verse 9 said that "Avanim Yekaros k'Midos Gazis" were from the foundation to the ceiling! Malbim there did not explain differently! This requires investigation. (PF)

Rashi citing Targum Yonasan: They covered the rocks, like it says above (verses 3, 7).

Gra: It was the ceiling.
