What kind of wood was used for Pesach ha'Heichal?

1.

Radak: The doorposts were covered with Atzei Shemen, but the doors were of Beroshim (verse 34).

2)

What is "me'Es Revi'is"?

1.

Rashi citing Targum Yonasan: The doorposts of the Heichal were square.

2.

Radak #1: The doorposts on each side had four layers, one inside the other. Revi'is is a Techunah (characteristic); it is as if it says mi'Techunah Revi'is. Also "me'Es Zeh Tetz'i" (Yirmeyah 2:37) is like mi'Zeh.

3.

Radak #2: The doorposts were not of one plank, rather, of four stuck together. This is like (Tamid 3:5) 'the fourth [beam], of cedar, was on top of them.'

4.

Malbim: This was the fourth opening (refer to 6:31:3:5).
