Why does it say that they are saved "me'Cherev mi'Pihem"?

1.

Rashi: The sword they are saved from is [the Resha'im's] mouths. They intended to swallow them, and desire to destroy them.

2.

Ibn Ezra: They are saved from the enemy's sword. If they are hungry, the enemy can besiege them. So Hashem can afflict people by withholding rain, and when they repent, He answers and saves them.

3.

Devar Eliyahu: He sends to them a savior from the sword 1 , and saves them. "Mi'Pihem" is from Leshon ha'Ra - also the rich must be saved from this.

4.

Malbim: This explains why Hashem annuls man's choice - it is to save the poor from the strong and from tyrants. If not, people would be like fish - the big swallows the small. Mankind persists because Hashgachah saves the weak.

It seems that the text should say 'me'Cherev', and not 'v'Rav'. (PF)
