Malbim: The enemy was worse than harvesters who come during the day - the latter leave Olelos (deficient clusters). The enemy did not leave anything!
Why does it say "Im Ganavim ba'Laylah Hishchisu Dayam"?
Malbim: Thieves are not concerned for leaving Olelos. They destroy vines when they reap at night. However, they ruin only what is needed for them [to steal]. Also, they do not know the hidden matters. The enemy sought and destroyed everything!
