What is the meaning of "Bi Adoni"?
Rashi, Targum Onkelos and Targum Yonasan: It is an expression of supplication, 'Please my master!' 1
Ramban #1 (citing the Ibn Ezra): 'The sin is with me - Do with me as you wish, but listen to what I have to say.'

Why did they say a double expression "Yarod Yaradnu"?
Rashi: They were hinting that it was a descent for them to need others for assistance, as they were used to sustaining others.
Ha'amek Davar: They wanted to show that they understood there was guile. "Bi'Techilah" - That was the first time we came to buy. We did not know that we must be careful about the money [lest someone return it to our sacks]!
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes: "'We went down' - This was a descent [in terms of honor] for us...." Why interpret this phrase; didn't they go down to Egypt in the literal sense?
Gur Aryeh: When a person speaks about himself, he usually does not say "going down," which has negative connotations. The verse therefore needs interpretation. Also refer to 42:2:153:1*.
