Rashi: A blacksmith melted it from iron or copper.

Radak #1: This is covering. They make an image of stone or wood, and afterwards cover it with gold or silver.

Malbim: This denigrates the gold and silver idols that they esteem - any smith can make them, even if he is not a Chacham! Also, it is Domem - it is not even vegetative!

What is the meaning of "ba'Zahav Yerake'enu"?

Rashi: [Afterwards,] the smelter flattened it and covered it with gold plating. Radak - this is like "va'Yrak'u Es Pachai ha'Zahav" (Shemos 39:3).

Malbim: It is merely plated with gold, but underneath it is iron, lead or tin.

What are "Resukos"?

Rashi: They are chains. Radak - this is like "Ase ha'Ratuk" (Yechezkel 7:23), just it is a different grammatical form.

Why does it say "u'Resukos Kesef Tzoref"?
