Why does it say "ki'Mlos ha'Kelim"?
Radak citing Targum of Tosefta: When the Kelim were finished, she told her son to bring shards. The One who decreed that empty Kelim be filled, He will decree that broken Kelim be fixed. Her son took shards and placed them one on another, and they were joined through Hashem's word.
Why does it say "va'Ya'amod ha'Shamen"?
Rashi: The oil did not come any more 1 .
Rashi citing Bereishis Rabah 35:3: The price of oil rose.
Malbim: She did not borrow so many Kelim 2 , and when they were all full, she did not have enough to finance her after paying the debt. Therefore, the oil stood, i.e. it did not leave the Kli, even though the opening faced down. Through this, it was prepared to give an influence of Brachah in the future.
Perhaps this is like Malbim explained (verse 4), that she held the flask tilted until the miracle finished. When the last Kli was filled, oil ceased to pour. (PF)
What is his source to say so? It is written about four people that they feared Hashem, and it says "Me'od" only about Ovadyah (Radak 1, citing Targum of Tosefta) - did his wife not fear Him to fulfill the Navi's command "borrow empty from all your neighbors; do not minimize!" (verse 3) , which was for her benefit?! One who violates a Navi's command is Chayav Misah - did she transgress and get rewarded with another miracle in the future?! Perhaps Malbim means that she tried borrowing as much as she could, but was not able to borrow so many. (PF)
