What is the significance of "Eretz Zavas Chalav u'De'vash"?

Seforno: As long as they remained in the desert, they would need to be sustained by means of a miracle - of which they were no longer worthy. Consequently, they needed to travel to Eretz Cana'an as quickly as possible in order to sustain themselves naturally off the produce of the land.
What did Hashem mean when He said "Ki Lo E'eleh be'Kirbecha... "?
Rashi: He was telling Moshe that He was sending a Mal'ach to lead them (and not leading them personally), because, due their stubbornness and their likelihood to rebel, if He were to lead them, they would arouse His ire (and bring about their own destruction). 1
Seforno: Refer to 33:3:1:2. There was no point in waiting there to continue to encamp and travel via the Shechinah (as they had done until then), because the Shechinah would not continue to appear in the camp.
Targum Onkelos and Targum Yonasan: He was explaining tto Moshe that, although He could not remove His Shechinah from Yisrael (completely), 2 He would no longer dwell in their midst as they traveled to Eretz Yisrael, because, due to their stubbornness, if they rebelled against Him, He would destroy them along the way. 3
