Why does it say that Chizkiyah did not return to Hashem like Hashem bestowed on him?
'Rashi': He became haughty, and showed all his wealth to Sheluchei Melech Bavel.
Malbim #1: He attributed the Mofes to himself. Really, it was to elevate Yisrael, so the nations would fear them.
Malbim #2: He became haughty and amassed storehouses of gold and silver. A king is warned "v'Chesef v'Zahav Lo Yarbeh Lo Me'od;? l'Vilti Rum Levavo me'Echav" (Devarim 17:17, 20).
What was Hashem's anger against Yehudah and Yerushalayim?
'Rashi': The author was concise here, for it is explicit in Melachim II, 20:17-18 and Yeshayah 39:6-7 1 .
In both places, it says only that Melech Bavel will take all Chizkiyah's wealth and his sons. It does not mention any anger against or punishment of Yehudah! (PF)
