Why did people fear Shlomo?
1.
Radak: They feared to do evil, even covertly, for they saw that his Chachmah can clarify the correct verdict, like in this case.
2.
Malbim: They saw that Divine Chachmah is in his heart, to know what is in the hearts of the litigants.
