How is "Ish Tochachos Maksheh Oref"?

1.

Rashi: He does not hear.

2.

Malbim: Ish Tochachos argues with and contradicts the proofs that they bring to him from Sechel. Some repent via rebuke of the Sechel, that his path is not good. He does not; he stands against the rebuke. Others repent via afflictions, amidst fear of [more] punishment. Maksheh Oref does not.

What is the meaning of "Pesa Yishaver [v'Ein Merapei]"?

1.

Rashi: He will be broken quickly.

2.

Malbim: Because he is Ish Tochachos, he will be broken (afflicted) quickly. If he would not harden his heart, his Nefesh would be cured. Just like the body is cured via bitter medicines, so the Nefesh is cured via afflictions. However, if he is Maksheh Oref, there is no cure.
