'Rashi': It is [refined], like "Kesef... Mezukak" (Tehilim 12:7).

What is "Tavnis ha'Merkavah"?

'Rashi': They are the Keruvim - the Shechinah is Rochev (rides) on them.

Radak: It is in the form of the chariots of Chayos ha'Kodesh (angels) - they have the face of a Keruv.

Malbim: The Keruvim are an image of Hashem's Merkavah and his Shechinah, like Yechezkel saw.

What are Poreshim?

'Rashi', Radak: It means Mefurashim (spread); their wings are a roof over the Aron - "v'Hayu ha'Keruvim Poreshei Kenafayim..."
