What do we learn from "Hen Yir'as Hashem Hi Chochmah"?
Shabbos 31b: Hashem has only [desire for] Yir'as Shamayim in His world. In Yevanis, 'Hen' means 'one' (it is the only Chochmah). Mesilas Yesharim (introduction) - surely something called Chochmah needs great investigation!
Rashi: Chochmah needs Yir'as Hashem. Chochmah without fear is not good.
Malbim: Hashem made man in a way that man cannot attain Chochmah by himself. He only receives it from Hashem. Via Yir'as Hashem, he believes in the statutes of Chochmah that Hashem gave.
What do we learn from "v'Sur me'Ra Binah"?
Malbim: Also Binah, that a person himself derives from contemplation, is primarily to veer from evil. Via this, Binah enters his heart. Without this, a person will not understand anything of Hashem's conduct. Iyov complained why man was made like this, that he cannot understand Hashem's ways by himself, and must rely on Emunah and fear, like a blind person.
