What was the enticement?
Rashi: It was to hate me. Hasasah is pretexts.
Radak: It was to do evil to me, due to my sin.
Malbim: The enticer instructs the enticed that he will have benefit from the matter, i.e. you think that you will have benefit from killing me.
May one say so about Hashem?
Radak citing Brachos 62b: David was punished for this, and Hashem incited him to count Yisrael (2:24:1).
What is the meaning of "Yarach Minchah"?
Rashi: He should accept my prayer with mercy, to turn your hatred from me.
Radak: I will offer a Minchah to Him, so He will be appeased to pardon my sin and turn your hatred from me.
Malbim: Minchah is always secondary to an Olah - "Olah u'Minchah" (Shemos 30:9). I already offered the Olah (I did not kill you the first time, rather, I cut your robe), and not killing you now is the Minchah that accompanies it; it should be considered Tzedakah for me.
Why did he say "Arurim Hem Lifnei Hashem"?
Malbim: I pardon them for my pain, but not for what pertains to Hashem and His Avodah.
Why did he say "I was expelled today"?
Malbim: Today I decided to leave Eretz Yisrael, to go to Eretz Pelishtim, like it says in the next Perek.
What is "me'Histape'ach b'Nachalas Hashem"?
Rashi: From [Radak - living and clinging in] Eretz Yisrael.
Malbim: This is from the root Sapach, a secondary addition to what is primary. I was happy to be secondary in Nachalas Hashem, without any authority, to fulfill Mitzvos that depend on the land.
Who told David to serve idolatry?!
Radak from Kesuvos 110b: It is as if he was told so, for I was expelled from Nachalas Hashem, and forced to live among idolaters. Even though David did not leave Yehudah yet, he knew that he will need to leave to flee Sha'ul, for he cannot flee from him after this. Also before, he went to Gas and Mo'av.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: Go among the nations who serve idols.
Malbim: I will be in Chutz la'Aretz, under the higher Sarim (the angels appointed over the other nations), far from Hashgachas Hashem that clings in Eretz ha'Kedoshah.
