What are the connotations of "Ve'katzosa es Kapah"?
Rashi: We learn via a Gezeirah Shavah "Lo Sachos" "Lo Sachos" from Eidim Zom'min in Parshas Shoftim 19:21, that she is obligated to pay the value of his embarrassment 1 - the amount depends upon her status and the status of the man that she embarrassed.
Ba'al ha'Turim: We learn from "Lo Yih'yeh be'Kischa" in the next Pasuk (which means a money-purse) that the Torah means money and should not be taken literally.
Targum Yonasan: It actually means that one cuts off her hand. 2
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes that she pays the value of his embarrassment. How do we know that it does not mean literally that we cut off her hand?
