Radak: The soldiers broke the doors.

Malbim: The river overflowed and flooded the city.

What is "Namug"?

Rashi: It shakes and moves due to catapult rocks thrown at its walls.

Radak: It melted due to the harsh blows on the gates.

3.

Malbim: The king and all in his palace melted from fear, for his witches told him that when the river will flood the city, he will be handed over to the enemy.
