Why is "Tomru" missing an Aleph?

The correct text of "Yomrucha" does not have an Aleph. (PF)
Perhaps the missing Aleph hints to Tamru (rebel). I.e. like he rebelled against David, so will be done to him. (PF)
Even if he needed to appear to pardon him, he did not need to make him the head general! David implied that Hashem should punish David if he will not appoint him! Does this not show that he truly pardoned him? (PF)
Why did he say that Amasa is "my bone and flesh?"
Rashi: He is the son of David's sister.
Why did David want to make Amasa the head general in place of Yo'av?
Rashi: He was the head general [of Avshalom]. 1
Radak: He hated Yo'av for killing Avshalom 2 , and wanted to depose him from being the head general. Malbim - also, Amasa was the head general [of Avshalom].
Perhaps Rashi means that he was the best one to persuade Yisrael to return David - just like Avner (after Ish Boshes insulted him) wanted to persuade Yisrael to follow David. (PF)
David was also angry that Yo'av killed Avner, and cursed him (3:29)! Perhaps David did not want to give to him two punishments for one Aveirah. (PF)
