Why did David compose this Mizmor?

Malbim: Hashem's honor is revealed in His world via two views. Through the world that He created we understand Him via investigation, and via the Torah we understand Him via Nevu'ah and Divine revelation. The Mizmor gives six advantages of the latter over the former.
