What is the meaning of "v'Lo Nachris meha'Behemah"?
1.
Rashi: All our animals will not be finished (die).
2.
Radak: Animals should not be finished from our city.
3.
Malbim: Via the animals, we will not die out. (When people are not worthy, rain falls in the merit of animals (Bereishis Rabah 33:1). There is a Bris of nature that species of animals not become extinct; punishments will not annul this. Rain falls for them, and also man gets rain, even though he is judged based on his deeds.)
