What did the people mean when they said "Kol ha'Kareiv ha'Kareiv ... "?

Rashi: With referene to 17:27:1:1 - they meant that it was something that is all but impossible to adhere to - Everyone is permitted to enter the Chatzer of the Ohel Mo'ed, and if someone goes one step further than his friends and enters the Ohel Mo'ed, he is Chayav Miysah!

R. Bachye #1: With reference to 17:27:1:2 - ?Anyone who goes one step further than his friend will die like those who were burnt!?

R. Bachye #2 (citing Targum 1 Onkelos) and Targum Yonasan: With reference to 17:20:2:1 - ?Hein Gava?anu? - by burning; ?Avadnu? - by being swallowed; 2 ?Kulanu Avadnu? - be a plague.

Onkelos interprets ?Gava?nu? as ?by the sword? (See R. Bachye) and Yonasan translates ?Kulanu Avadnu? as ?It?s as if we had all perished!?
