What do we learn from "Es Pnei Mevin Chachmah"?

1.

Rashi: Chachmah is in front of a Mevin (one who understands).

2.

R. Yonah: Mevin is one who loves to understand matters of Chachmah, and he has a heart to understand it. If he lacks either, he is not a Mevin. If there are not in his place people great in Chachmah, he seeks it from anyone who knows, and learns from everyone. His love for Chachmah causes this. Therefore, he humbles himself to learn from everyone, small or big, and receives Emes from whoever says it. Also, he tests and recognizes the value of what he hears. If it is proper, he receives it from anyone. If later he reaches a place of Chachamim, he listens and learns more. What he already learned helps his Nefesh, to add to it crops of Chachmah - a full Kli can contain [Chachmah], but an empty Kli cannot. Hashem gives Chochmah only to one who has Chochmah -- "Yahev Chachmesa l'Chakimim u'Mande'a l'Yod'ei Vinah" (Brachos 40a, 55a).

3.

Malbim: The ways of Chachmah are close to man's nature, as long as he did not pollute it with desires of this world and enticements of the Yetzer of the heart that oppose the ways of Chachmah. Every Mevin sees that Chachmah stands up his face, and it is carved in the face of his Nefesh - its Divine form. He can see it there!

Why does it say "v'Einei Chesil bi'Ktzei ha'Aretz"?

1.

Rashi: He shows 'Chachmah is not found in front of me - it is far from me! How can I learn Seder Nezikim (Bava Kama, Bava Metzi'a and Bava Basra) - it is 30 Perakim! Maseches Kelim is 30 Perakim, Shabbos is 24 Perakim! For a Chacham, it is easy - he learns two Perakim today, and two tomorrow
