What are the implications of "Veha'avat'ta Goyim Rabim ... "?

Rashi and Rashbam: It implies that you will lend to many nations (and force them to give you securities against the loans ? Rashbam).

Oznayim la'Torah: It is a consolation for the loss of our debts to our fellow-Jews - In that we will stqill be permitted to claim our many debts from our Nochri debtors through the sucurities that we will receive from them 1 and, if we obey the commands of Hashem, we will not need to borrow from them.

Oznayim la'Torah: As implied by the word "Veha'avadta" which generally means through a security.

Why does the Torah add "u'Mashalta Goyim Rabim, ve'Vecha Lo Yomsh'lu"?

Rashi: Presumably, it is one stage further than "Veha'avdta ..." that precedes it - 'Not only will you lend them money - and they will not lend, you, but you will also dominate them, and they will not dominate you!'

Oznaym la'Torah: With reference to "Ve'ha'avat'ta Goyim Rabim" - refer to 15:6:2:2 - it is an assurance against the fear that we will not be able to claim from them because we will not dominate them, and that even if we do, they will retain sufficient jurisdition to snatch back their securities from us. Therefore the Torah is reassuring us, that we will dominate them and will therefore be able to claim our debts from them and they will have no jurisdiction over us to retrieve their securities..
