1)
What do Chachamim tell?
1.
Rashi: They admit their sins.
2.
Devar Eliyahu: What they know by themselves.
2)
What do they not deny to their fathers?
1.
Rashi: Their sins.
2.
Devar Eliyahu: They do not withhold from telling [Chochmah] that they received from their fathers.
3.
Malbim: Avosam is an expression of desire. Chachamim cannot deny that they act based on their desires. This refutes Iyov, who said that Hashem's knowledge and the Ma'arachah's decree determine everything, so there is no choice.
