Radak #1: "Mefikim" is going out, like "va'Yafek Ratzon me'Hashem" (Mishlei 8:35), just that is Po'el Yotzei (it makes something else go out), and here is Po'el Omed (it itself goes out). "Zan" is a species. The Targum of "l'Mino" (Bereishis 1:11) is 'li'Znohi'.
