What is the meaning of "va'Yifrakenu"?

Rashi: He removed us [from our afflictions].

Radak: Past tense used in place of future; this is normal in Nevu'ah. It says in Bereishis Rabah 44:22 "l'Zar'acha Nasati Es ha'Aretz ha'Zos" (Bereishis 15:18) - it says Nasati, and not Eten (future), for Hashem's word is deed. It was Chesed to keep us alive in Galus; further, He will redeem us.
