What is the comparison to watchmen longing for morning?
Rashi: So we long for redemption.
Radak: My Nefesh longs for Hashem, to be among those who rise b'Ashmores ha'Boker (the last third of the night) to pray.
Radak citing Ibn Ezra: My Nefesh hopes to Hashem more than people who guard the walls long for morning. They are awake at night, and long for morning, for then they can sleep.
Malbim: One who waits for a person to come and save him, he is not assured. Perhaps the person will die or get sick, and not come. However, one who waits for morning, surely it will come in its time. The Nefesh that hopes to Hashem has a stronger hope; morning will not come before 12 hours of night pass. However, (refer to 130:7:2:2).
Why is "Shomerim la'Boker" repeated?
