What do we learn from "Es La'asos la'Shem Heferu Torasecha"?
Brachos 63a #1: They enacted to greet people with Hashem's name, like Bo'az said "Hashem Imachem" (Rus 2:4).
Radak citing Brachos 63a #2: It is a time for Hashem to bring punishments, for they annulled Your Torah.
Radak citing Brachos 63a #3: They (Nevi'im) annulled Your Torah, because it is a time to do for Hashem. Radak - e.g. Eliyahu offered on Har ha'Karmel when Bamos were forbidden, in order to eradicate those who served Ba'al, so Yisrael will serve only Hashem.
Brachos 63a #4: If You find a generation that Torah is not dear to it, gather (Rashi 3a - do not impose authority over them; also, do not spread Divrei Torah).
Gitin 60a: R. Yochanan and Reish Lakish looked in a Sefer of Agadah. Even though it is forbidden to write oral Torah, they did so, lest it be forgotten. Likewise, we may write a Sefer of the Haftoros (even though it is forbidden to write an incomplete Sefer of Tanach).
Rashi #1: This refers to the previous verse. Make me understand Your Edos, to understand the time to do for Your sake. Those who annulled Your Torah, how can they atone and be pleasing to You? I will do so for all my Aveiros.
Rashi #2: Chazal expounded 1 that we may transgress Divrei Torah in order to make a fence for Yisrael, e.g. Gid'on, and Eliyahu on Har ha'Karmel, who offered on Bamos (when this was forbidden).
Rashi #3: I found in Agadah 2 , an idle person who learns Torah [only] at times, he annuls the Bris. He must exert in Torah the entire day!
Radak #1: It is time for Hashem to take vengeance, for they annulled Your Torah. Even though now He is patient with Resha'im, the time [of Ge'ulah] will come, and He will exact payment from them.
Radak citing Ibn Ezra: Resha'im annulled Your Torah, even when they should have done for Hashem, i.e. in old age or at a time of affliction.
Radak #2: This refers to "Avdecha Ani Havineni" (125). You must help me to understand Your Edos, for this is a time when one must strengthen himself to do Torah and Mitzvos for Hashem, lest it be totally Batel, for this generation annulled Your Torah.
Malbim: This refers to "Avdecha Ani Havineni" (125). I will know "Es La'asos la'Shem", i.e. the Eduyos that testify how You conducted from the beginning reward and punishment, so I will know the time prepared for Hashem to take vengeance on those who annulled Your Torah. The Supreme Chachmah decreed that there are times to do, and times to be patient.
I did not an explicit Midrash that says so. Perhaps he refers to Brachos 63a (refer to 119:26:1:3). (PF)
