Why does "va'Yafotzu" have the prefix Vov?

Radak: The Vov is superfluous, like "ba'Yom ha'Shelishi va'Yisa Avraham Es Einav" (Bereishis 22:4) and similar verses. I.e. they did not strike the remainder, for they scattered.

What is the meaning of "Shenayim Yachad"?
