What is the meaning of "u'Zero'im Mimenu Ya'amodu"?

1.

Rashi: He will send his officers and Giborim to Yerushalayim.

2.

Malbim: Officers and Giborim greater than Antiyochus will stand, i.e. Titus and his troops. Zero'im is like Ish Zero'a – a strong tyrant.

What is "ha'Mikdash ha'Ma'oz"?

1.

Ibn Ezra: It was the strength of Yisrael, like "Ge'on Uzchem." The extra prefix Hei hints to an omitted word 1 , like "ha'Aron ha'Bris" - ha'Aron Aron ha'Bris, "ha'Sefer ha'Miknah." Now the Sefer discusses Churban Sheni. How do Chachmei Tzedukim say that it refers to the future, and ha'Mikdash is Mecca, where the Yishmaelim celebrate?! Surely it is only Yerushalayim!

2.

Malbim: The Mikdash in the days of Romi was stronger than the Mikdash in the days of Antiyochus, which was from the days of Koresh; it was small and weak. Hordus' building was a fortress; they fought from there and took refuge in it. This is why Romi destroyed it!

It is as if it says ha'Mikdash Mikdash ha'Ma'oz. (PF)

3)

What is the significance of "v'Hesiru ha'Tamid"?

1.

Malbim: This is like it says (8:12) "v'Tzava Tinasen Al ha'Tamid b'Fasha" - Yisrael and the Tamid will be given over to the enemy.

4)

What is the significance of "v'Nasenu ha'Shikutz Meshomem"?

1.

Malbim: I explained "v'Al Kanaf Shikutzim Meshomem" (9:27) - later, Adriyanus put an image in the place of the Mikdash.
