Did Shlomo truly build a Bamah for idolatry?!

Rashi (citing Shabbos 56b): Because he did not protest against his wives [doing so], the verse attributes it to him.
2.
Malbim (7-8): What his wives built was in his Reshus and was called on his name. Surely he did not command to build it, or allow his wives to keep idols in his house - anyone who says that Shlomo sinned, he errs (Shabbos 56b)!
